The increasingly fast advancement of digital technologies leads to constant changes in the relations among companies and individuals, generating new labor, civil, consumer and corporate relations. The door is, therefore, constantly open for new regulations.
Our Digital Law Practice monitors, analyzes and applies a vast set of rules (international and national laws, as well as “best practices”) that seek to avoid and mitigate client’s risks regarding internet-based or internet-related services and the omnipresent data protection concerns. We have actively witnessed Brazil’s pioneer efforts in the creation of specific legislation on Internet relations (Civil Rights Framework for the Internet), with its landmark provisions concerning ISP liability, net neutrality and aspects of data protection. Now, our Digital Law Practice closely monitors the country’s advances towards a Data Protection Law, currently being processed by the National Congress.
We provide precise and up-to-date legal advice to a number of clients regarding their websites, applications and social network profiles, as well as all the back-office activities that enable such features. Faced with the constant updating of this field of Law, our team constantly takes part in events, seminars, lectures and courses - as teachers, speakers or students - and closely follows the legislative process.
