Technology Transfer, Licensing and Franchising

Our multidisciplinary team handles all stages involved in the negotiation, drafting, review, and registration of Technology Transfer Agreements with the BPTO (Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office), whenever such registration is required.

Technology Transfer Agreements must be registered or recorded with the BPTO to mitigate risks and ensure greater legal certainty. These agreements may take various forms, including Trademark, Patent, Industrial Design, Know-How, and Integrated Circuit Topography License or Assignment Agreements, as well as Technical Assistance and Franchise Agreements.

We also review and analyze a wide range of contracts across different sectors, such as Distribution Agreements, Copyright Agreements, Partnership Agreements, Commissioning Agreements, Service Agreements, Marketing Consulting Agreements, and Research & Development Agreements, in addition to any contracts involving the transfer of intellectual property rights.
