BPTO: PPH Limit for Telecommunications Applications Reached for the Second Quarter of 2025

The BPTO announced on its website that the limit of 140 PPH requests for the second quarter of 2025, referring to patent applications with main IPC H04 (telecommunications cases), has already been reached. Such limit has been reached only 2 days after the acceptance of new requests for the second quarter, which shows how important the PPH program is for applications in the technical field of telecommunications.

We are proud to share that Kasznar Leonardos was responsible for 40 of these PPH requests, successfully filed on April 1, 2025. This amount represents 28.57% of the request limit allowed by the BPTO.

The expressive performance of our team reinforces the firm’s commitment to agility and excellence in protecting our clients’ inventions.

For the third quarter of 2025, BPTO is expected to announce a new limit for PPH requests for telecommunications cases.

It is worth remembering that PPH requests for patent applications in other technical areas may still be filed in Brazil.
