Chambers and Partners’ Patent Litigation Guide 2025 is now available
The Patent Litigation 2025 Guide is now available! Organized by Chambers and Partners, Kasznar Leonardos has led the chapter in Brazil.
Our partners Gabriel Leonardos, Claudio Barbosa and Viviane Trojan authored the “Law and Practice” subchapter, covering patent practices and regulations in Brazil, including granting procedures, protection terms, fees, infringement lawsuits, defenses, nullity, and licensing.
Claudio and Viviane, along with attorneys at law Jorge Tinoco and Daniel Leopoldino, also contributed to the “Trends and Developments” section, addressing the latest trends in Brazilian patent litigation, including new BRPTO rules, the use of invalidity defenses, strategies for patent-term adjustments, the influence of foreign injunctions, and more.
