Kasznar Leonardos had the honor of hosting, in partnership with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the multinational Grant Thornton, an exclusive event in São Paulo, which brought together key decision-makers from Brazil and China in a unique moment of technical and cultural exchange.
With the theme “Intellectual Property in Brazil & Investment Opportunities in the State of Pernambuco”, the event’s program explored new growth perspectives and partnership opportunities between the nations in terms of development and technology.
In addition to our partners, Elisabeth Kasznar and Gabriel Leonardos, who analyzed the importance of protecting Intellectual Property assets in Brazil and the new horizons in this field, the program also featured the participation of Yu Peng, Consul-General of China in São Paulo; Lan Heping, Consul-General of China in Recife; Guilherme Cavalcanti, Secretary of Economic Development of Pernambuco; Zhang Guanghua, President of the Brazilian Association of Chinese Companies; and Guo Yinghui, General Representative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) in Brazil.
Among the Intellectual Property topics discussed, the new transfer pricing system and its impact on royalty remittance, deductibility as an incentive for IP asset protection, and the role of Intellectual Property in ensuring companies’ international competitiveness were highlighted.
The event fostered a broad exchange of knowledge and strengthened ties between leaders from Brazil and China.
