Kasznar Leonardos takes part in anti-piracy raid in São Paulo

The Antipiracy and Brand Protection team of Kasznar Leonardos participated in the piracy combat operation conducted by the Brazilian Internal Revenue Service in São Paulo.

Following the intelligence work conducted by Kasznar Leonardos’ team, the target, corresponding to a major distributor of caps and t-shirts located in the Brás region, known for the sale of counterfeit products, was reported to the Authorities.

As a result, nearly 2,900 volumes of counterfeit products from various brands were seized, corresponding to approximately 150,000 items.

The operation holds significant importance in the piracy combat scenario, especially considering that the apparel segment was the second most impacted in 2023, as indicated by the Counterfeiting Yearbook produced by the Brazilian Association for Combating Counterfeiting (ABCF), representing a loss of R$40 billion to public coffers in 2023.
