Kasznar Leonardos takes part in “Operação Pirataju”

Kasznar Leonardos´Anti-piracy & Brand Protection team participated in the massive raid called “Operação Pirataju”, carried out on March 23 in the city of Aracajú (Sergipe State), by the Federal Revenue Service of Brazil – DIREP 5th Fiscal Region, with the support of the Police Department of the State of Sergipe (DDCP).

The seizure targeted 7 big suppliers of caps, footwear and sports clothing items and resulted in the seizure of more than R$1.600.000,00 in counterfeit products of different brands.

The withdrawal of such products is a direct consequence of the strong IP environment in Brazil. Furthermore, it shows how keen the Brazilian authorities are in protecting the consumers from products that can cause serious damages.
