As an alternative to accelerate examination of applications in the areas of Chemistry and Medical Technology (excluding pharmaceutical area), the Brazilian Patent Office has now published Resolution INPI/PR Nº202/2017. This Resolution defines the administrative proceedings and the technical scope of the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) Pilot Program in cooperation with the European Patent Office (EPO).
