The controversy regarding amendments to patent applications in Brazil
The rules on the filing of amendments to patent applications until a Patent Office completes the examination are clear throughout the world. However, in Brazil, since the enactment of the current Industrial Property Act (IPA – Law No. 9,279, of May 14, 1996) more than 20 years ago, the controversies have not yet been resolved.
