Kasznar Leonardos takes part in antipiracy operation

On August 10, Kasznar Leonardos’ Antipiracy and Brand Protection team took part in an important operation in the city of Teresina, Piauí State. The raid was a joint effort by the Internal Revenue Service, local Civil Police, and federal agencies ANATEL and INMETRO to combat unauthorized trade.

A total of 10 locations were targeted, resulting in the seizure of counterfeit products valued at over R$ 5 million.

Raquel Corrêa Barros, our firm’s attorney and coordinator of this initiative, emphasized that counterfeit products have far-reaching negative effects on society. These actions represent a significant step forward in safeguarding Intellectual Property rights holders and, importantly, in protecting the interests of the country.
