Kasznar Leonardos announces new partner

With the aim of expanding the office's operations and reinforcing its growth strategy, we announce the arrival of the lawyer Fernanda Magalhães, who will lead an important area for the development of KL: Marketing & Entertainment Law.

 

Fernanda earned her law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RIO) and an LL.M in Intellectual Property, Technology & Commerce from the Franklin Pierce Law Center where she also served as Teacher Assistant of Entertainment & Sports Law under renowned Professor Martin Sielfen.

 

With an international career, Fernanda has over 17 years of domestic and international in-house and private practice experience advising clients on strategic business practices, marketing, advertising and branding matters. Fernanda is licensed to practice law in the United States and Brazil and held positions at Coty Inc., as Senior Trademark Paralegal, and Mars Inc., as Marketing Properties Associate General Counsel – Global Foods and Americas. Fernanda also served as Foreign Legal Counsel for Arent Fox in Washington, D.C., and worked in renowned Brazilian law firms such as Dannemann Siemsen e Montaury Pimenta prior to moving abroad.

 

Back in Brazil since 2014, Fernanda acted as Chief Intellectual Property Counsel of the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee where she was responsible for providing legal support to key areas of the event such as brand protection, marketing & communications, ceremonies and torch relay.  Fernanda is a member of CONAR´s Ethics Committee (Conselho Nacional de Autoregulamentação Publicitária).
