Kasznar Leonardos produces a magazine to celebrate Afro-Brazilian culture

Today, we celebrate Black Awareness Day in Brazil. To honor one of the greatest cultural symbols of Black people in our country, we have prepared special content on Afro-Brazilian cuisine.

An indisputable part of Brazilian culture, the flavors and knowledge rooted in African traditions form a legacy that spans generations, carrying stories of resistance, identity, and belonging.

Afro-Brazilian cuisine serves as a powerful tool for recognizing the ethnic and racial diversity that has shaped Brazil. Despite the historical and ongoing exclusion and violence faced by Black communities, they have preserved their roots and shown leadership through food and related practices.

Preserving Black history is essential—not only to honor the past and the struggles of these people but also to build a future that values Brazil as a cradle of knowledge.
