Kasznar Leonardos takes part in Operation 404 against illegal streaming plataforms

Kasznar Leonardos has been represented in the launch ceremony of the sixth phase of Operation 404, an initiative coordinated by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security’s Secretariat of Integrated Operations (Seopi/MJSP), in conjunction with the Cybercrime Laboratory (Cyber-Lab/MJSP), Civil Police from various states, and other authorities.

Operation 404 aims to combat the illegal distribution of copyrighted content, ranging from movies and music to games and live broadcasts of football games. In this specific phase of the operation, Brazilian authorities blocked 606 pirate websites and 19 illegal streaming applications, in addition to executing 24 arrest warrants against operators of some of these digital platforms in different states of Brazil.

Rafael Lacaz Amaral, partner and head of the Digital Anti-Piracy & License Compliance department, represented Kasznar Leonardos as a legal expert supporting the operation during the event. He emphasizes the importance of the engagement of Brazilian authorities in combating piracy in the digital environment, stating: “We are very pleased to support Operation 404 and its crucial role in preserving copyright and promoting a safer digital environment for all,” he concludes.
