Kasznar Leonardos welcomes Marcel Nadal Michelman as our Of Counsel in the USA

Based in New York City, Marcel will help strengthen our capabilities in the US and Asian markets by helping our clients to better understand the Brazilian IP environment and successfully meet their specific needs.

 

Marcel is an attorney with more than 20 years of broad experience in legal affairs working for multinational companies and law firms, having in-depth knowledge in Corporate Law, Intellectual Property, Entertainment Law, Project Management, Compliance, and Public Relations.

 

He previously served as Director of Legal Affairs, as well as Legal IP & Brand Protection manager of big multinational companies. In these roles, he led a team of professionals on a broad and diverse range of matters, including commercial, competition, compliance, corporate, employment, governance, IP, litigation, and regulatory, including geographic responsibilities in Latin America.

Marcel is graduated from PUC/SP Law school in Brazil and earned his LLM in Corporate, Intellectual Property, Patents, Compliance, and Litigation from Cornell University in the USA. He also studied Project Management at New York University and obtained a PMP certification from PMI-Project Management Institute, New York Chapter. He also collects several other educational titles in the areas of Entertainment & Music Business Law, Intellectual Property, Arts Administration, and Business Economics.
