Kasznar Leonardos Participates in the 46th ABPI Annual Conference on Innovation and Intellectual Property
Partners, attorneys, and interns from Kasznar Leonardos attended the 46th Annual ABPI Conference on Innovation and Intellectual Property 2026. The event took place in Rio de Janeiro from August 16 to 18.
• August 15-16: CSP-ABPI Moot
Attorneys and interns from Kasznar Leonardos had the honor of participating in the 5th edition of the CSP-ABPI Moot, held on August 15 and 16. The competition, organized by ABPI, is a mock arbitration event in which teams from across the country are invited to analyze and argue a fictional Intellectual Property case. The case may involve topics such as trade dress, software, and unfair competition.
This year, our firm was represented by official team members Ígor Ferreira and Gustavo Vicenti, who served as coaches; Ana Júlia do Nascimento Campos, Aísha Yakini, Jorge Petagna, and Lucas Smith, who acted as oralists; and Alice Lessa, Beatriz Bercovici Franco, Gabriel Cappellano Daher, and João Gabriel Aguiar, who served as researchers.
Our team of unofficial researchers was composed of Giovanna Mezher, José Sávio Oliveira, Felipe Kon, Alexandre Miura, Sofia Veloso, Raissa Diak, Clara de Sá Lopes, and Beatriz Scaletsky.
Partner Flávia Tremura served as Director of the ABPI Arbitration Chamber (CARB-ABPI).
• August 17: Panel “How AI and New Technologies Are Transforming Anti-Piracy Efforts”
Partner and Co-Head of the Anti-Piracy & Brand Protection Department, Raquel Corrêa Barros, served as the moderator of the panel.
• August 18: Panel “Ethical and Lawful Use of AI in Human and Legal Relationships”
Vivian de Melo Silveira, Senior Attorney in the Trademarks Department, was responsible for moderating the discussion.
