Brazilian PTOs opens public consultation on inventions related to transgenic plants

On June 1, 2022, the public consultation of the BPTO’s Technical Note CPAPD nº 01/2022 was published in the Federal Official Gazette n° 103, which aims to guide the Examiners regarding the examination of inventions related to transgenic plants, especially inventions involving the elite event. After said publication, a 30-day term is opened for the submission of criticisms and suggestions. At the end of the term, the BPTO will present answers to the contributions and the final text to be followed by the Institute.
