Kasznar Leonardos celebrates National Anti-Piracy Day
Today (3rd), we celebrate the National Anti-Piracy Day, a date that invites us to reflect on the serious impacts caused by counterfeiting and smuggling in Brazil. In 2023, piracy caused a loss of R$ 441 billion to the country. This data, from the National Forum Against Piracy and Illegality (FNCP), highlights the magnitude of the problem and the challenges faced in various spheres of society.
The issue of counterfeit products goes far beyond economic impact: it endangers the health and safety of the population. Fake products, which do not follow technical or regulatory standards, can cause accidents, intoxications, and irreversible damage to consumers. Piracy also fosters a criminal chain that supports more serious illegal practices, such as drug trafficking, arms trafficking, and even the financing of criminal organizations.
Therefore, the fight against piracy must be continuous and integrated, involving joint efforts from companies, government agencies, security forces, and civil society. Not just today, it is essential to reinforce the commitment of all sectors to combat this issue, protecting the economy, the safety, and the integrity of brand owners and consumers.
We, at Kasznar Leonardos, are very proud to be at the forefront of the fight against piracy. Our team of specialists is ready to protect your Intellectual Property assets! Contact our team!
