Opened for Public Consultation a Proposal for a Resolution to regulate a simplified allowance procedure for patent applications in Brazil

This Resolution will cover all applications filed in Brazil up to the date of its publication, excluding patent applications claiming pharmaceutical products or processes, divisional applications and certificates of addition.
 
After due requirements and  formal conditions have been observed, the patent application still awaiting examination and not having been object of the presentation of subsidies will be allowed in 90 days. Opting out of this simplified allowance procedure will be possible.
 
Suggestions and comments can be presented until August 21st 2017, through this form, addressed to consulta.backlog@inpi.giv.br
