Third edition of “Advertising Law: Year in Review” is now available

The third edition of “Advertising Law: Year in Review”, featuring cases examined by CONAR in 2024, is now available!

This publication, prepared by the Marketing & Entertainment Law team at Kasznar Leonardos, highlights the main cases reviewed by the Brazilian Advertising Self-Regulation Council (CONAR) in 2024. CONAR plays a key role in setting standards and best practices for the national advertising industry, fostering education and collaboration within the sector. This edition is especially relevant in light of the significant increase in ethical complaints filed with CONAR in 2024.

As with the 2023 edition of our publication, this 2024 edition also includes a selection of recent court decisions, as well as pending cases before the Brazilian courts, involving sensitive and strategic legal issues relevant to the marketing and entertainment industries.

It is worth noting that in 2024, following the publication of Annex X by CONAR, there was a significant rise in complaints, notifications, representations, and rulings related to fixed-odds betting advertisements (Bets), one of the most pressing topics today.
